The "City of the Caring" charity festival brings together Moscow non-profit organizations, families, students, artists, and volunteers for two days of fairs, workshops, performances, and interactive activities. The rich program is designed to make good deeds simple, understandable, and engaging. Admission to the festival is free.

Date: December 6–7th, 2025.

Venue: The festival will take place at the Green Market on Bolotnaya Square (Polyanka, Tretyakovskaya, Novokuznetskaya, and Kropotkinskaya metro stations).

Admission: Free for all ages.

What is the "City of the Caring" festival?

"City of the Caring" is a city project created in 2022 aimed at developing a culture of caring for others and integrity.

The project works on a wide range of charitable causes, from healthcare and support for people with disabilities to inclusivity, ecology, animal protection, education, and culture.

It is both a platform and a movement: it highlights the work of Moscow NPOs (non-profit organizations) and social enterprises, helps them find new supporters, and demonstrates how small actions yield significant results.

Members of the movement engage in a variety of activities: publishing news, running campaigns, providing educational materials for non-profit organizations, and, of course, hosting a major festival every winter.

Organizers and Partners.

The Winter Festival is organized by the Moscow Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy in collaboration with the Moscow House of Public Organizations.

Program

A city-wide charity fair awaits you, as well as entertainment and educational areas. The official program includes:

- Charity Market – gifts and limited collections from NPOs and social enterprises: toys, souvenirs, clothing, candles, and much more. Some of the merchandise is created by NPO beneficiaries, and all proceeds will go to support the beneficiaries. You can also stop by a special stand, where volunteers will wrap your purchases in gift paper for free or assemble a gift box from the charities' products.

- "Kind Christmas Tree" campaign: everyone can pick a Christmas tree ball containing a wish from an NPO beneficiary, which you can fulfill yourself, feeling like a real Santa Claus.

- "Star Market" is a joint project with public figures: clothing from famous people will be on display at the festival, with proceeds from their sales going to charities.

- Colorful photo zones, photo sessions with fairy-tale characters.

- Ice shows – short performances for the whole family on the festival ice.

- Creative workshops – DIY crafts, upcycling, greeting cards, New Year's decor (decorating a New Year's hat, pinecones, candles in a New Year's theme, and more).

- Non-profit organizations’ booths – meet the teams, learn about their activities, and how you can help (one-time or long-term).

How to get involved (simple ways to do good locally)?

1. Shop at NPO booths. Every mug, toy, book, candle, or edible treat you buy contributes directly to the program, which you can find on the tag or with a QR code. This is the easiest way to turn your holiday purchases into targeted assistance.

2. Register as a volunteer. Most booths have a QR code or paper form for registering for one-time and long-term events (the "City of Caring" portal also posts volunteer calls year-round).

3. Participate in a prize draw. Lotteries and quizzes are designed to attract attention, but they also help generate real support for projects – from medical foundations to environmental ones.

Why should you visit the festival?

- Instead of searching for information online, you can meet teams in person, ask challenging questions, and choose your area of philanthropy: healthcare, disability inclusion, senior care, youth mentoring, animal shelters, environmental protection, and more.

- Meeting people with similar interests.

- Festive weekends outdoors in the city center, including children's activities, where you can bring the whole family.

- Opportunity to participate in philanthropy and make the world a little better.
