My Experience of Kiving in HSE Dormitory

This subsidized housing is specifically designed to help students adapt effectively, providing essential amenities and fostering a sense of community.

As an international student, I lived in the HSE dormitory Moscow, which is a subsidized housing for international students which helped me get settled-in and adapt effectively in the Russian sociocultural environment. This accommodation is very affordable and comfortable because all the basic equipment necessary for a comfortable living are all ensuite in the dormitory; these include microwave, washing machines, cooking appliances, clean toilets and bathrooms., reading rooms, and gymnasium promoting both academic focus and physical well-being.

The dormitory also has a tight security service, which ensures the safety of all occupants. living in the HSE student dormitory helps new students to mingle in the Russian society effectively and meet new people. This subsidized housing is specifically designed to help students adapt effectively, providing essential amenities and fostering a sense of community.

While Living in the HSE dormitory, it provided me with an excellent opportunity to meet new people from different parts of the world. The shared living spaces, such as kitchen, the rooms, reading rooms, laundry rooms etc, encourage social interaction and community building. This environment helps students form lasting friendships and gain a deeper understanding of multi-culturalism and to develop survival skills necessary for peaceful coexistence.

The proximity to the different campuses enhances academic outcomes. Students have easy access to the campus as the HSE dormitories are in strategic places, like the Bus stations and the Underground train stations, libraries, and academic support services, which can contribute to improved performance. Additionally, the independence gained from living in a dormitory fosters personal growth and responsibility, preparing students for future challenges.

Staying in the HSE University dormitory in Moscow not only provides a comfortable and secure living environment but also facilitates social integration, academic success, and personal development. For international students, it is an ideal choice that supports their transition into Russian society and enhances their overall university experience.

From experience as an international student who has lived in the HSE dormitory, I therefore urge my fellow international students to make use of this golden opportunity, the university has put in place, to make their studies and social adaptation as easy as possible. While it is safe, comfortable and cost effective, it helps to channel students’ limited resources to other pressing needs.
