Nadezda Nartova Visits Minsk for the Second Time with Gender Course
This time the course was dedicated to Body policies: bio-power and new social order
Like last time, the course was held in the European College of Liberal Arts in Belarus. Within the framework of the study, the main directions of body policies that problematize key aspects of physicality in the context of social, cultural and legal regulation have been considered. Such topics as Biopower, Biopedagogy and Vital Policies, Body and Reproduction, Body and Life, Body and Opportunities, Body and Death were studies.
Nadezda noted that the mini-course was productive. Despite the intensity of the course (classes were held from 2 to 6 May), it was possible to get all the information across to the audience that included not only gender scientists. Nadezda also discussed with participants the current Belarusian context.
