The Department of Logistics and Supply Chain Management was established in 2014. It is part of the School of Economics and Management at HSE St. Petersburg, a ‘big faculty’ that brings together economists and management specialists.
Teachers in the department support both the Bachelor’s programme in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and the Master’s programme in Strategic Supply Chain Management.

In the 2020-2021 academic year I.E. Bernadsky, Leading Specialist in Data Analysis and Control of the Logistics Business Efficiency Group, Baltika Breweries, will conduct classes for second-year masters of the Strategic Logistics Management program.
Igor Elmarovich's classes will be related to the study of real situations (practical cases) that a company may face when building an effective distribution network. With the help of tools common in practice, tasks of a design nature will be analyzed, including:
- construction of a “tree of losses” of the logistic function;
- optimization of the plan of shipments from the warehouse, taking into account GPS data;
- forecasting the rate of a 3PL operator;
- definition of Road-To-Market in terms of logistics;
- planning the delivery of products with a limited shelf life, etc.
