The Department of Logistics and Supply Chain Management was established in 2014. It is part of the School of Economics and Management at HSE St. Petersburg, a ‘big faculty’ that brings together economists and management specialists.
Teachers in the department support both the Bachelor’s programme in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and the Master’s programme in Strategic Supply Chain Management.

The work of the Winter School 2020 of the HSE St. Petersburg has completed. Here's t the main results of the meeting with applicants for the master's programme 'Strategic Management in Logistics'.
This year, speakers of the Winter School were:
- Honored Worker of Science of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor V.S. Lukinsky (best lecturer of the 2019, 2018, 2017 and 2016 NRU HSE St. Petersburg)
- N.N. Nikolayevsky (best lecturer of 2019 and 2018 at the HSE St. Petersburg),
- Ph.D., senior lecturer D.B. Bazhina,
- Ph.D., associate professor V.A. Plotnikov and others.
During a video conference prof. Harri Lorentz (University of Turku, Finland) spoke about the features of the Strategic Purchasing and Supply Chain Management course, and Prof. Wolfgang Kersten (Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), Germany) focused on the main points of the Methodology of scientific research in management course.
Moreover, Winter School of Logistics had been visited by such representatives of logistics companies from St. Petersburg as:
Potekhin Evgeny Mikhailovich, Procurement Directorate of Ilim Group (the largest company in the Russian pulp and paper industry, which produces 75% of all Russian market pulp, 20% of cardboard and 10% of all Russian paper. The company has 17000 employees);
Maximov Maxim Georgievich, Commercial Director of SOLVO, Director General of the Museum of Logistics, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Logistics, HSE St. Petersburg;
Rats Maxim Mikhailovich, Deputy Director for Logistics of STD Petrovich LLC (the company's assortment includes more than 27 thousand items of building materials. STD Petrovich company positions itself as an omnichannel retailer, which distinguishes it from most competitors);
Timofey Orlov, Agility's Head of the Department of Ground Transportation (Freight forwarding, contract logistics and specialized services backed by industry-leading technology: 5.2 billion revenue in US dollars; 26,000 employees at Agility; 100 countries in operation).
Our masters and our graduates A.Makhova, E. Puzakova, K. Suleymanova, A. Fileva, E. Averina, I. Bernadsky, N. Movchan and Yu. Polyakova came to meet with applicants as well.
As part of the event, a blitz tournament was held (competition for the title of Winner of the Winter School, nomination Logistics), the results of which will be taken into account in the portfolio.
