OBJECTS OF A SPECIAL IMPORTANCE FOR LOGISTIC INFRASTRUCTURE OF OUR COUNTRY: Field session of the Logistics students of NRU HSE Saint-Petersburg in the “Container Terminal Saint-Petersburg” CJSC and “Logistic Park “Yanino” LLC

November 22nd, 2017 40 students of the master program "Strategic Management of Logistics" and the bachelor program "Logistics and Supply Chain Management" of NRU HSE Saint-Petersburg got an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the main characteristics (infrastructure, transportation and handling equipment, work technology, etc.) “Container Terminal Saint-Petersburg CJSC and “Logistic Park “Yanino”” LLC.
     
Students admitted to the territory of the 
“Container Terminal Saint-Petersburg” CJSC after fulfilling the requirements of the customs and border guard services of the Russian Federation were able to see the processing chain for export-import cargo processing, including container ships of Hapag-Lloyd and MSC Jordan companies, Liebherr mooring cranes and reach stackers Kalmar; learn about the terms of containers processing at the terminal, the specifics of various services’ KPI formation, the economic feasibility of using drones and the requirements of customs authorities.

           
After that, the object of the students' attention was
“Logistic Park “Yanino”” LLC, established in 2008 as a rear terminal. Now this enterprise processes about 400 thousand tons of general cargo and 200 thousand TEU per year.

      
Master students of the program "Strategic Management of Logistics" and the bachelors of the program "Logistics and Supply Chain Management” have learned about the service life of containers, depending on the operating conditions, the labor productivity assessment of the customs terminal employees, the technologies for the formation of cargo consignments and the difficulties emerging in the work of "Logistic Park "Yanino" LLC, and much more.
