Vacancy: Qualitative Research Manager
CHEMP is currently recruiting for a Qualitative Research Manager to bring oversight and management to several strands of qualitative research emerging within the CHEMP themes. We currently have five priority research themes: (i) Health outcome measurement and valuation; (ii) Economics of Health Behaviours; (iii) cardiovascular disease; (iv) mental health and well-being; and (v) Economics of ageing. There are qualitative elements involved across these multidisciplinary themes.
We are looking for a qualitative researcher with the enthusiasm, experience and ability to play a key role in the delivery of our projects and specifically to help take forward existing research programmes by overseeing and supervising the work of junior research fellows and interns as well as by participating directly in the qualitative research process. Using your understanding of the health sector and policy, related literature, and your experience of research methods, you will be responsible for managing projects throughout the process; designing discussion/topic guides, managing the fieldwork and data collection stages, analysis of qualitative data, the writing of articles and dissemination. It is also expected that you will have a role in the career development of junior research fellows and interns.
Working in a new state of the art building in St. Petersburg, you will enjoy developing strong working relationships with members of CHEMP and HSE and putting in place effective strategies for delivering research results. You will be able to work across a range of qualitative methodologies, developing creative and innovative approaches in areas like focus groups, in-depth interviews, content analysis, sampling as well as (potentially) in more contemporary digital or experiment based methods. With your enthusiasm and ability you will be playing a key role in our team, taking forward research initiatives in four areas in particular: (i) Health outcome measurement and valuation; (ii) Smoking; (iii) cardiovascular disease; and (iv) mental health and well-being.
