Abstract

This seminar is dedicated to the preparation of the final qualifying work by the students of the program. The issues of choosing a topic, the basis for writing a paper, the formulation of the problem, goals, objectives, subject and object of research will be discussed.

Learning Objectives

  • The goal of the course to assist students in preparing the thesis according to the high standards of the academic research or industry standard with regard to the selected style of the thesis format.

  • Be able to understand the basic steps of the research process.
  • Understanding of the basic concepts and main components of Academic research based on the recommendations for writing a Term paper as the main guiding document
  • The knowledge of the instruments and approaches to find articles on the chosen research and organise the articles in the form of a specially tailored literature review table paying attention to the level of maturity of a research field and article types.
  • Conducting a structured literature review based on theoretical framework to formulate testable research hypotheses
  • Understanding of the main components of research motivation and their functions in the Term paper text, knowing the limitations of a research gap focused approach
  • Ability to formulate a research problem and research question(s) that are meaningful for managerial practice
  • Present research findings clearly, logically, and in accordance with academic standard
  • Distinguish between reporting results and interpreting results
  • Integrate findings with existing literature to highlight contributions and address the research question
  • Highlight the theoretical and practical contributions of the research
  • Provide recommendations for practice and suggestions for future research
  • Define the concept of a research strategy and explain its role in academic inquiry
  • Distinguish between research strategy and research methods
  • Justify the selection of an appropriate research strategy for a given research problem

    This assignment aims to encourage the students to think on their research and deliberate on the research question and its justification, research background and research motivation that are the essential parts of the thesis introduction.

    The task is to give a 10-minute presentation on the research conducted.

    The research process is an assignment designed to encourage students to plan their research and follow through with their plans.
  • non-blocking Extended research proposal
    This assignment aims to encourage students to think about their research, deliberate on the research question, and justify it, and demonstrate the appropriate way to answer the posed research questions using chosen methodology.

    In class activities, the course instructor aims to equip students with research-related skills in specific areas of study.
