This year, 60 HSE University-St Petersburg professors were named the best based on a student poll and the results of the Student Research Paper Competition. Sixteen of them have received this title three years in a row. Read on to find out more about the winners and the voting procedure.

The ‘Expert’ analytical centre has published its ranking of the publication activity of Russian universities for 2023. HSE University has improved its position in six subjects and two narrow sections.

Ekaterina Shelukhina is completing her fourth year of studies in the Bachelor's programme 'Applied Mathematics and Information Science'. In autumn, she passed the selection process for the VK project workshop. There, she works on the interface of the Robbi machine-learning platform. Ekaterina shared her impressions of the project and her trip to Moscow.

The HSE IT Office is implementing Russian equivalents of digital services

In light of the epidemiological situation, the new academic year is to begin in a face-to-face format on all HSE University campuses. Established safety measures remain in place.

Students of the St. Petersburg School of Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science Vasily Alferov, Konstantin Makhnev and Maxim Surkov, have won the online round of the ICPC semi-final - student world programming championship. A team from the Faculty of Computer Science of HSE University in Moscow is also in the top three. In addition, three more teams from HSE Moscow and St. Petersburg made it through to the next round.

On December 17, registration for open optional courses will start on the HSE online education platform. All courses will be online and open to everyone, regardless of age and level of education.
Till December 20, 2020 HSE students will have an opportunity to assess the quality of their teachers’ work.
