Course Syllabus

Abstract

Introduction to Banking Management is a basic course for understanding of banking operations, regulation and analyses. Part of the course is dedicated to the banks’ role in the digital environment and their coexistence with non-banking lending and payments transfer units.

Learning Objectives

• To gain skills for assessing how: 1) the banks are operating, 2) Central Bank of Russia regulates financial markets, 3) banking analyses is being conducted 4) fintech is entering banking environments

Expected Learning Outcomes

• Able to systemize banking operations
• Able to systemize principles of banking regulations
• Able to analyze basic indicators of banking activity
• Able describe banking role in the fintech industry

• Topic 4. Analyses of banking financial statements

• Topic 8. Banking profitability

• Test (1 for each seminar)
