The Strategic Entrepreneurship Centre is a structural subdivision of the St Petersburg School of Economics and Management engaged in field research into entrepreneurship and strategic management.
The organisational goal of the centre is to create a scientific and applied competence centre in strategic entrepreneurship in order to develop world-class research and train research personnel in the field of strategic entrepreneurship.
The main scientific goal of the centre is to develop a new scientific approach to understanding the role of strategic entrepreneurship as an adaptation mechanism (at the level of firms and national economies) to turbulence in the external environment. This approach will be based on an original concept of strategic entrepreneurship as a mechanism for creating endogenous variability in the commercial results of a company.
