About our department

The Department of Management was formed in 2014 on the basis of the Faculty of Management and is now the part of the School of Economics and Management of the Higher School of Economics - St. Petersburg, a "mega-faculty" that brings together economists and managers.  The department is participating in the strategic Roadmap of HSE University development and contributes to the increase of international awareness and recognition of the whole University. At the same time, we believe that one should focus on global trends associated with the transformation of managerial knowledge in a knowledge-based economy, when science becomes a productive force of society.  This process is accompanied by the integration of scientific knowledge, the formation of an interdisciplinary approach, and the intellectualization of management.  A distinctive feature of the department is the organic combination of theoretical science, applied science and close interaction with the real sector of the economy, so graduates of any of our educational programs can find themselves in business, achieve success in managerial positions of domestic and foreign companies, and also try their hand at building a career  in the academic environment.
