About our department

The Department of Management was formed in 2014 on the basis of the Faculty of Management and is now the part of the School of Economics and Management of the Higher School of Economics - St. Petersburg, a "mega-faculty" that brings together economists and managers.  The department employs highly professional full-time employees working on academic, educational, methodological, and practice-oriented tracks. Among the employees there are major international scientists, experienced managers and young researchers.

The department's staff implements hundreds of academic discipline programs every year at several bachelor's, master's and postgraduate programs at the School of Economics and Management, as well as at other schools and campuses of the Higher School of Economics. A distinctive feature of the department is a combination of theoretical science, applied science and close interaction with the real sector of the economy, so our graduates can find themselves in business, achieve success in managerial positions in Russian and foreign companies, as well as try their hand at building a career in the academic environment.
