The Department of Logistics and Supply Chain Management was established in 2014. It is part of the School of Economics and Management at HSE St. Petersburg, a ‘big faculty’ that brings together economists and management specialists.
Teachers in the department support both the Bachelor’s programme in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and the Master’s programme in Strategic Supply Chain Management.

Students of Master's programme 'Strategic Management in Logistics' have met with Dmitry Leontyev, head of the Logistics department, SVEZA group (One of the biggest producers of birch plywood - 23% in world production; more than 80 buyer countries on 5 continents, was held ; 7,550 employees; 7 plants; 1,400,000 m³ of wood boards per year).
During the one and a half hour meeting, Dmitry Sergeyevich spoke in detail about the warehouse, transport, and commercial logistics of the Sveza group of companies, as well as about development prospects: performance indicators, supply chain design, etc. Two practical cases were proposed for the masters to solve, the discussion of which will take place at the next meeting with D.S. Leontyev.
