19th International Conference “Reliability and Statistics in Transportation and Communication” (RelStat-2019), 16–19 October 2019 Riga, Latvia Transport and Telecommunication Institute

From October 16 to October 19, 2019, the Head of the Department of Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Professor V.S. Lukinsky and academic director of the master's programme 'Strategic Management in Logistics' Professor V.V. Lukinsky took part in the 19th International Conference 'Reliability and Statistics in Transportation and Communication' (RelStat-2019), October 16–19, 2019 Riga, Latvia Transport and Telecommunication Institute.

During the conference, at the 'Smart Solutions for Supply Chain Management' section, representatives of the HSE St. Petersburg made a presentation 'Forming the Complex Model to Rate Transportation Indicators in Supply Chains'. In total, the conference was attended by 117 researchers from 18 countries, including Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Germany, Ukraine, Russia, Czech Republic, Austria, Greece, Great Britain, India, France, USA and Japan.

Among the reports presented at the conference, one should especially note the speech of a professor at the Munich Technical University (Germany) state. Constantinos Antoniou: 'The paradigms of mobility change: what do we know and what does the future look like?', As well as professor of transport policy at Delft University of Technology, Netherlands, state. Bert van Wee and Deputy Director of the Robotics Center of the Mining Higher School of Paris (Ecole Nationale Superieure des Mines de Paris), France, Dr. Fabien Moutarde.

The most significant research results presented at the conference will be published in a special collection indexed by Scopus (Selected papers will be published in the conference proceeding by Springer Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems).
