The Department of Logistics and Supply Chain Management was established in 2014. It is part of the School of Economics and Management at HSE St. Petersburg, a ‘big faculty’ that brings together economists and management specialists.
Teachers in the department support both the Bachelor’s programme in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and the Master’s programme in Strategic Supply Chain Management.

On November 22, 2018, 43 students of the bachelor's program «Logistics and Supply Chain Management» and the master's program «Strategic Management in Logistics» at HSE - St. Petersburg were given the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the main characteristics (infrastructure, transport and handling equipment, technology, etc.) of CJSC «Container Terminal St. Petersburg», CJSC «Logistics-Terminal» and «Milarin» LLC («Milarin» Group of Companies).
«Container Terminal St. Petersburg» is the largest terminal in Russia (In 2017 CTSP was ranked as the number one terminal in St. Petersburg and Russia in terms of the volume handled – 643700 TEU). Students admitted to the territory of Container Terminal St. Petersburg CJSC after fulfilling the requirements of the customs and border guard services of the Russian Federation were able to see the technological chain for processing export-import cargoes, including Hapag-Lloyd and MSC Jordan container carriers, Liebherr mooring cranes, Kalmar reach-stackers and mobile customs inspection and inspection complexes; learn about the processing time of containers, the features of the KPIs formation of various services, the requirements of customs authorities, the advantages of Russian terminals, optical number recognition systems and the main directions of the company efficiency improving.
CJSC «Logistics-Terminal» is a multifunctional logistics complex providing a full range of services for the handling of container and general cargo. The first «dry port» on the territory of the Russian Federationprovides for the handling of cargoes of customers of all sea terminals and any forwarding companies (total area 90 hectares; covered warehouse (class A) - 10,500 square meters; carrying capacity - 200,000 TEU per year).
«Milarin» Group of Companies is a logistics operator in the North-West region of the Russian Federation. The main fleet of the company «Milarin» is 610 units of equipment based on SCANIA truck tractors. The mission of the company is a comprehensive and safe provision of the need for high-quality transport logistics.
