ANTON GAEV - THE MATRICULANT OF THE MASTER PROGRAM "STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT OF LOGISTICS"

Mr. Gaev is a student of the 4th year of the bachelor's program "Logistics and Supply Chain Management" at the Higher School of Economics, St. Petersburg. Now he studies, works and is going to enroll in our master's program "Strategic management of logistics" in 2018.
 
Mr. Gaev, where do you work?

At the moment I work as an analyst of the logistics department of the company "Trading House" Cesar". This company combines three types of activities: wholesale supply of technical oils, freight forwarding and online store; and in each of them it is necessary to constantly improve all business processes of the company for success in markets with insane competition. Offering new knowledge-based solutions that I received while studying at the Logistics and SCM education program within 3 months I coped to become an analyst of the logistics department out of an ordinary logistics manager, whose responsibilities include identifying ways to reduce the company's operating costs and maximizing current profits.
 
What milestones in life do you set for yourself, what do you strive for?

Personally, for me, the main goal at work is self-realization of all the potential I have accumulated. I'm looking for opportunities to bring the company maximum benefit, more than an ordinary employee, because the graduate of the HSE must be at least a reformer in his workplace.
 
Why do you chose to enroll in master’s program «Strategic Management of Logistics», what do you expect from studying on this program?

While working as a logistician in different companies, I realized that there are really not enough professional personnel in this field. And all the real professionals I have met are exclusively in leadership positions. To be the director of a large enterprise, to build the entire supply chain and to give it a form of flow, it is necessary to combine a huge set of professional knowledge and qualities. The knowledge of a bachelor for a top manager is not enough, there are corresponding requirements to a person in a high position. It is to enhance my own professionalism, self-improvement and a push to career growth that I enter the Master program "Strategic Logistics Management" of the Higher School of Economics HSE in Saint-Petersburg.
