The Department of Logistics and Supply Chain Management was established in 2014. It is part of the School of Economics and Management at HSE St. Petersburg, a ‘big faculty’ that brings together economists and management specialists.
Teachers in the department support both the Bachelor’s programme in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and the Master’s programme in Strategic Supply Chain Management.

The Saint-Petersburg Institute of Informatics and Automation of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SPIIRAS) is one of the leading research organizations in the field of the creation and development of information technologies. SPIIRAS was organized according to the Order of the USSR Council of Ministers from 19.12.1977 and the Resolution of the USSR Academy of Sciences Presidium from 19.01.78 on the basis of the Computing Department of the USSR Ioffe Academy of Sciences Physics-Technical Institute as the Leningrad Scientific Research Computing Center of the USSR Academy of Sciences (LSRCC). Today, 38 doctors of sciences and 58 candidates of sciences work in SPIIRAS, the main research areas of which are:
• Fundamental basics of informatization of the society and regions, regional information and computing systems and networks, information security;
• Theoretical bases of construction of hardware-software complexes oriented to processing information in a real time;
• Fundamental basics, models and methods for studying information processes in complex systems (social, eco-, bio-, geo-, transport, etc.);
• Theoretical basics of construction of information technologies for intellectual systems of automation of scientific researches, management, manufacture and other spheres of activity.
In-depth study of new information technologies in logistics under the supervision of the staff of the Basic Department "Information Technologies in Logistics" D.Sci.Tech, prof. Y.M. Iskanderov, D.Sci.Tech, prof. I.S. Lebede v, D.Sci.Tech, prof. B.V. Sokolov and C.Sci.Tech, assoc. M.B. Laskin will give students an opportunity to gain skills of effective scientific research and form practice-oriented competencies.
