Anastasia Fileva has gradueted from the Master Program "Strategic Management of Logistics" in 2017

The second graduation of the students of the master program "Strategic Management of Logistics" has taken place in June 2017. Anastasia Fileva brilliantly coped with the defense of her dissertation "Improving the organization of the production enterprise supply." This was undoubtedly facilitated by the work on a number of publications prepared by Ms. Fileva during her studies at the magistracy ("Illiquid stocks: the causes of emergence and ways of fighting", "Reducing the timing of the supply of materials as a factor in improving production efficiency," "The use of ABC analysis in case of dependent demand "and others). Our traditional questions to the wonderful graduate.

Where do you work now?
I work as an expert in procurement and logistics in the Saint-Petersburg actively developing production company - "Photomechanics" LLC. The company is developing several projects at once, such as the production of equipment for 3D-photos, CNC machines for schools, automation systems for warehouses, etc. This proves the multiplicity and different directions of logistics tasks facing us. Every day we have to learn something new for ourselves - singularities of a customs clearance, business negotiations conduction features, documentation control, etc. It is also important to raise the level of technical knowledge, without which we simply can not find an understanding with colleagues, mainly technical specialists - designers, engineers, electronics engineers.

What tasks in life do you set for yourself, what do you strive for?
For me, the most valuable thing in work is the possibility of constant professional growth and the multifaceted nature of the tasks performed. It is pleasant to realize that the decisions you made are of a great importance for the whole company, and management listens to you. Therefore, I aspire to gain as much as possible skills and knowledge in all logistical questions arising in practice.

Why are you attracted by logistics and supply chain management, what was useful in two years of our communication?
Logistics is the sphere where it is necessary to solve the difficulties, where analytical and communicative skills and even intuition play an important role, effectively and in a short time. This is to my liking. In addition, logistics is a fairly young science in Russia and it is the field for the activity of enterprising young professionals is incredibly wide. In the magistracy I received a base of theoretical knowledge, which is a vital support in practice. But I think the most remarkable result of the graduation is the formed circle of business contacts - the student friendship of specialists working in different companies may be the basis of a strong partnership relations between them.

What is your advice to future masters?

Do not be afraid of change and changing yourself, expressing your thoughts, ideas, making important decisions and taking responsibility. I advise you to go to small business, start-ups, innovative domestic projects. They, in my opinion, will help you to open your potential as a specialist in the field of logistics and supply chain management.
