The Department of Logistics and Supply Chain Management was established in 2014. It is part of the School of Economics and Management at HSE St. Petersburg, a ‘big faculty’ that brings together economists and management specialists.
Teachers in the department support both the Bachelor’s programme in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and the Master’s programme in Strategic Supply Chain Management.

The XIV International Academic and Research Conference «LOGISTICS: ACTUAL DEVELOPMENT TRENDS» was organized by the National Research University Higher School of Economics (Scientific Laboratory of Logistics Research, Department of Logistics and Supply Chain Management HSE) and the Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping.
The Conference was held with the assistance of Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, Federal Agency of Maritime and River Transport, Transport Specialists Union - Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the North-West Regional Office of the Russian Transport Academy.
The conference was attended by the representatives of the following countries: Estonia, Finland, Uzbekistan, USA, Russia, Poland, Kazakhstan, Belarus.
The conference lasted for two days. During this time it was attended by over 150 people (more than 40 PH.D ). The conference was attended by the representatives of more than 30 Russian Universities.
In the first section, presentations on the theme «Logistics: actual development trends» (working language - Russian) were heard.
The second section: «Logistics: International Cooperation, Problems and Solution» (working language - English) was attended by the conference foreign guests and the speakers who have prepared their presentations in English.
On April 10, the Round table: «Logistics, supply chain management, organization of transportation: personnel problems» was held. The problems of education and, in particular, the future development of the educational program «Logistics and supply chain management» were discussed. The entrepreneurs and representatives of city enterprises were invited to participate in the round table.
By results of work, the solution to the problematic issues was obtained in the following areas:
