5-day summer school on Health Technology Assessment. July 18 – 22, 2016.

Event ended

New to Russia, Health Technology Assessment (HTA) is in widespread use in many countries, providing essential information for healthcare decision-makers and regulatory agencies. Health economics provides the scientific “toolkit” that helps power HTA. This intensive 5-day programme has been designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the major topics that form the basis of the economic evaluation of healthcare. It is the first course of its kind to be offered in Russia. The first 2 days will be dedicated exclusively to the topic of measuring health benefits; specifically to introduce participants to the development and current status of EQ-5D which has become the de facto standard generic measure of health-related quality of life and is the primary method used by most health economists. An international Faculty will be provided by the EuroQoL Group.

Course DIRECTOR:

Professor Paul Kind

Lead International Scientist, CHEMP, HSE St. Petersburg, Russia
Professor of Health Outcome Measurement, Institute for Health Sciences, University of Leeds, England.
