About CHEMP

Mission
CHEMP was established in Autumn 2015 at the St. Petersburg campus of HSE University and seeks to become an established centre of multi- and interdisciplinary excellence in the fields of health economics, management and policy. The centre serves as a platform for research and educational activities, drawing on and developing expertise in health economics, public health, sociology, social epidemiology and political science.

Research
Empirically, the work of CHEMP is grounded in a thorough knowledge and understanding of the health system, health reforms and policies, and health outcomes and behaviours in Russia. This expertise provides the starting point for national studies, for developing capacity within Russia and for international comparisons of health policy developments.
