The meeting participants discussed the prospects for developing cooperation between the HSE University and Egyptian universities, as well as scientific and educational exchanges for students and teachers in various fields. The main focus was on mobility programmes and language internships in Egypt for students of Asian Studies programmes who study Arabic on campus, as well as programmes for students from Egypt to learn about Russia, the Russian language, history and culture.

The first international meeting after a long break was held in compliance with all sanitary and epidemiological precautions.

Konstantin Platonov, Deputy Head of the HSE St. Petersburg International Office

'The visit of Mr. Adviser is an important part of our work to develop opportunities for international experience for Asian Studies majors, for whom immersion in the real life of the studied region is the most important aspect of their studies. In addition to traditional student exchange programmes, we are also working on creating alternative short-term and virtual mobility programmes that even more students can access. We are convinced that in the new normal, international experience will become one of the key factors for the success and competitiveness of HSE graduates.'

More information about international student mobility programs is available on the International Office’s website.
