Strategic Entrepreneurship Centre researchers received the Best paper award at the international conference in Morocco

Director of Strategic Entrepreneurship Centre, Professor of the Department of Management of NRU HSE - St. Petersburg Shirokova Galina and research assistant of Strategic Entrepreneurship Centre, visiting lecturer of the Department of Management of NRU HSE - St. Petersburg Zakharova Aleksandra, in collaboration with Virginia Bodolica (Professor of the School of Business Administration of the American University of Sharjah), received the “Best conference paper overall across all categories” award at the annual international conference AIB-MENA (Academy of International Business - Middle-East North Africa) 2023 in Rabat, Morocco. The conference took place from December 10 to 13, 2023.

Their study “Understanding the co-CEO leadership and governance structure: A conceptual framework and multidomain research agenda” explores the underexplored phenomenon of co-CEO structure in the corporate world. The research team analyzed the concept of co-CEOs and related terms, 74 co-CEO appointments in 55 companies from 12 countries, and 65 publications in the business literature on the co-CEOs structure. Based on the analysis, a conceptual model was developed to help organizations choose between sole CEO and co-CEO structures.
