During the event, Nelly Georgieva-Russ, Associate Professor in the Department of Korean Studies, discussed the folding screens of the Joseon Dynasty depicting the Eight Confucian Virtues (孝, 悌, 忠, 信, 禮, 義, 廉, 恥) and their significance in the daily lives of Koreans.
The program included a master class and ink calligraphy contests, where first-year students wrote the name of the university in Hangeul (고경대), while second-year students inscribed one of the key virtues, 孝 [효]. The best works were awarded prizes.
Additionally, second-year students Eva Lebiga and Anna Ignatovich organized a quiz for participants, featuring questions about Korean history and culture. First-year students tackled challenging questions and received gifts from the event organizers.
