Course Syllabus

Abstract

This course focuses on the principles, methods, and patterns used to design robust and scalable information systems. A special emphasis is placed on integrating modern AI components into traditional architectures. Students will learn how to build systems that support high-performance computing tasks, such as training neural networks and deploying deep learning models within enterprise-level environments.

  • Mastering the theoretical, methodological, and technological foundations of designing modern information systems.
  • Mastering the general principles of their operation and acquiring practical skills in designing information systems from the perspective of user interaction.
Expected Learning Outcomes

Expected Learning Outcomes

  • Creates conceptual system models that correspond to a set of stories. Develops sets of user stories based on the system design and behavioral scenarios to capture behavioral requirements. Identifies and describes the conceptual IS model and the behavioral requirements for it.
  • Defines the conceptual architecture of the system based on user stories, including the creation of object‑oriented system models. Understands the organization of the IS development cycle.
  • Improves the conceptual architecture to support the automation of solutions and analytics.
  • Knows the principles of Agile and SCRUM methodologies, knows how to work with external web APIs and voice recognition services, and can create a simple application using Flask.
  • He is able to evaluate, refine, and decompose user stories for architectural purposes; he knows the principles of information system development and is skilled in designing and building RESTful APIs.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of cloud platforms and services, and is able to organize interaction with cloud services.
  • Plans the information architecture of the system, including navigation, search, selection, and sorting algorithms.
  • Prototypes the key functionality of the IS using a cloud technology stack.
