What the Head of HSE — St.Petersburg Student Council is in charge of?

According to the current regulation on the HSE — St. Petersburg Student Council, the Head of the Student Council performs the following functions:

Providing general management of the Student Council;
Creating and publishing the draft agenda of the Student Council meeting, formed on the basis of the proposals received;
Providing the general management of the meeting;
Making decisions regarding the need to invite HSE officials and employees to certain meetings of the Student Council;
Approves the protocol of holding meetings and other documents of the Student Council.

About our committees

According to the current regulation on the HSE — St. Petersburg Student Council, committees are created by the decision of the Student Council. The work of the committee is organized by its head, who is also being approved by all the members of the Student Council. Meetings of the committees are held as needed and may be convened by the head or deputy head of a certain committee.

One committee, along with the members of the Student Council, may include other students and postgraduates of the HSE — St. Petersburg. Committees may open public recruitment of volunteers to carry out their functions. The heads of the respective committees are responsible for coordinating and overseeing the open recruitment processes.

Education Quality Committee

Since education is the most important aspect of student life at any university in the world, we find it important to have the quality of education on point and to make our students aware of all the aspects of the educational process at HSE — St.Petersburg. Our colleagues from the Quality of Education Committee are working towards achieving these goals.

Social Affairs Committee

It is very important that students could feel comfortable both in dormitories and in the buildings of HSE — Saint-Petersburg. Our Social Committee is engaged in projects to maintain the level of comfort and to implement new initiatives!

Legal Committee

Quite often we evaluate/provide an assessment of certain changes at the university from the point of law. Also we advise students on the organization of the educational process as well as analyse the feasibility of bringing students to disciplinary responsibility. Our colleagues from the Law Committee help us with completing these important tasks.

External Affairs Committee

It is vital for HSE — Saunt-Petersburg Student Council to maintain contacts with external partners - student councils of other universities (both in Russia, Europe, Asia and so on, the Student Council of the city of Saint- Petersburg etc. Responsible for this is our External Affairs Committee.

Information Committee

One of the main goals for us is that the activities&news of the HSE - St. Petersburg Student Council could be seen and heard by the majority of our students and teaching staff. Our colleagues from the Information Committee are helping us with this important matter.

Secretariat

Drawing up all the documentation correctly, conducting meetings as well as monitoring the corporate atmosphere is a crucial point as well! It may seem that it is being done easily, but the truth is that the volume of the scope is huge. Thanks to our colleagues from the Secretariat, the work in the Student Council is going smoothly!
