Problematic - How did the socio-economic and potestial relations from the High to the Late Middle Ages change in a textual and qualitative way in the context of the emergence of capitalism in the north of Italy?

The urgency of the problem: 
The problem of the capitalism emergence at the turn of the High and Late Middle Ages is an essential problem in Social History and Historical Anthropology. The translation and analysis of unpublished sources in this project will contribute to the solution issues on Social History and may shed light on problems that many historians, philosophers and sociologists have argued about, from Karl Marx to Fernand Braudel, Jacques Le Goff and Jacques Heers.Moreover, some unpublished sources will become available for students, professional historians and all those whose scientific interests are associated with Italy during the period of the High and Late Middle Ages.

Purpose of the project - transcription, translation, and commenting of manuscripts, as wel as their contextualization and solving linguistic and textual issues.

Tasks:

1. Transcription and translation of notarial acts, Doges` and bishops` letters, and other documents from St. Petersburg Institute of History of the Russian Academy of Sciences,
2. Prepare a commentary on documents, 
3. Conduct comparative analysis of documents,
4. Put all the results of the research into contemporary theories of Social History.
