The International Laboratory was founded in 2020 as part of the HSE St. Petersburg School of Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science.
The Laboratory carries out research in the following areas:
- New physical phenomena in semiconductor nanostructures, laser microresonators and optical waveguides, as well as methods to apply them in the development of integral optoelectronic/nanophotonic devices.
- The search for new functional capabilities for nano light emitters, sources of single and entangled photons, high-speed optical communication systems, optical microcircuits, optical sensors and other applications.
- Elimination of technological problems related to the development of optoelectronic/photonic devices based on micro- and nanoresonators for chip-based optical interconnection systems.
