International Laboratory of Quantum Optoelectronics

The International Laboratory was founded in 2020 as part of the HSE St. Petersburg School of Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science (School of Computer Science, Physics and Technology).

The Laboratory carries out research in the following areas:

  • New physical phenomena in semiconductor nanostructures, laser microresonators and optical waveguides, as well as methods to apply them in the development of integral optoelectronic/nanophotonic devices.
  • The search for new functional capabilities for nano light emitters, sources of single and entangled photons, high-speed optical communication systems, optical microcircuits, optical sensors and other applications.
  • Elimination of technological problems related to the development of optoelectronic/photonic devices based on micro- and nanoresonators for chip-based optical interconnection systems.
