Abstract

The course "Operations Management in Supply Chains" is designed for third-year undergraduate students enrolled in the Digital Platforms and Logistics program. This course provides an in-depth understanding of the principles and practices of operations management within the context of supply chains. Students will explore how effective operations management can enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels in supply chain networks. The course emphasizes the integration of digital technologies and data analytics in optimizing supply chain operations, preparing students for the challenges and opportunities presented by modern logistics environments.

  • The aim of the course is to familiarize the participating students with the basic concepts and frameworks of operations management in logistics and supply chain, to familiarize with the role of operations management in logistics and supply chain, and to develop students’ related analytical and decision making skills related to operational management with relation to the supply chain management.
