On September 5, we set sail on the sea of student life at HSE SPB Day 2026!
Come celebrate the start of the new academic year, join student activities, and become part of the big HSE family. Discover the many different sides of HSE University–St Petersburg and learn about the new horizons it opens up. For first-years, it will be a truly unforgettable evening thanks to the grand HSE student initiation ceremony.
This year will feature activities prepared by partner organisations and friends of the campus, including VK Education, Setl Group, t2, VTB, Bank Saint Petersburg, and others. Find out first-hand how informal and creative large businesses can be.
Everyone is welcome—students and their parents, professors and staff, applicants and graduates, friends and acquaintances. The event starts at Sevkabel Port (40 Kozhevennaya Liniya) at 4 pm—see you there!

What to Expect
HSE World
Hobbies can help you stay afloat in the sea of deadlines and projects. More than 30 extracurricular clubs of HSE University–St Petersburg have prepared interactive tasks, quizzes, and more.
Lecture Zone

The moment first-years have been waiting for all summer! At the grand ceremony, we will officially congratulate and initiate new HSE University–St Petersburg students.

Meetup
Set course for Sevkabel Port. The venue of HSE SPB Day opens for guests at 4 pm and the official programme starts at 4:30 pm.
Field
Moor up at the student organisation zone. Here, you can sing karaoke on the waterfront, take part in a virtual regatta, master the art of theatrical make-up, help our four-legged friends from shelters, and more—hundreds of activities await you!
Volt
According to the forecast, the Volt space is expecting a light breeze of science from the Lecture Zone. Here, you can cast anchor and treat yourself at the Sloy coffee shop, as well as set sail to HSE partner universities with help from the International Office.
Stage
Dive into the festival! The official HSE SPB Day programme starts at 5 pm with a ceremony featuring welcome speeches by university officials, wishes from deans, parting words by trustees and, of course, the initiation ceremony. You will see great performances by students and curators.
Field
The student organisation zone will be open during the official part of the programme, so make sure to dock at each student club!
Stage
Come sunset, it’s all hands on deck for a real sea party!
