A joint meeting of the scientific-educational group and participants of the project 'The history of technologies and infrastructures in Russia and the Soviet Union: the processes and practices of standardization and its participants'

On Monday, the 5th of October, was held the regular meeting of the scientific-educational group ‘Applied GIS in Humanities: Linguistics, History, Project Work’ and participants of the project 'The history of technologies and infrastructures in Russia and the Soviet Union: the processes and practices of standardization and its participants'

In 2015, at the Center for Historical Research was started the project called 'The history of technologies and infrastructures in Russia and the Soviet Union: the processes and practices of standardization and its participants'. The heads of the project are professor Evgeny Anisimov and associate professor Julia Alexandrovna Laius. The project activity involves the geoinformatiс systems, so employees of the scientific-educational group and participants 'The history of technologies and infrastructures in Russia and the Soviet Union' will continue to cooperate. Moreover, a number of joint seminars about studies of space will take place this month. At this meeting, the member of scientific-educational group, Sergei Mikhailov, presented some prospects and possibilities of applied geoinformatics in humanities and programs like Google Earth and Quantum GIS.
