Basics of work with databases in Google Earth

On Thursday, January 22, the second meeting of the scientific-research group was held. Members of the group learnt the basics of work with the geographic information system Google Earth.

At this seminar, the working group learned how to create databases which could be later imported into the program. Such databases include all required information for visualization from spatial (or other) sources. Using geographic information systems created in Google Earth, members of the group tried to simulate clusters which combine familiar events in different geographical locations. Besides, the group learned the ways to create not only spatial, but also temporal dimension in the system as well, which allowed us to visualize various processes in retrospective. It is important to notice that created databases can be used not only in Google Earth, but also in other geographic information systems.
