Open seminar «Topical Issues in the Medieval and Early Modern Studies»
About the seminar:
A regular seminar complements the activities of the Research Academic Group. Its participants discuss topics relevant to the activity of the project. In addition to the improvement of public speaking skills, analysis of scholarly texts and identification of the main argument in them, the seminar provides both basic and specialised knowledge in the fields that are studied by the researchers of both medieval and early modern history. The seminar participants discuss issues related to ethnicity, cultural, intellectual and political history, identities, analyse various research problems related to source criticism, study the nature of historical writing in the Middle Ages and Early Modern times, etc. The discussion is attended by two or more teachers, who take part in the research project.
