'Everyone Will Find Themselves Here': Varvara Nazarova on the Master's Programme 'Finance'
The Master's programme 'Finance' was opened at HSE University-St Petersburg in 2009. Since then, it has been awarded several international accreditations, entered into an agreement to implement a double-degree programme with an Italian university, and extended its cooperation with large companies. From their first year, the programme's students start solving real tasks from industry partners. In her interview, Varvara Nazarova, Academic Supervisor of the programme, explains what sets the programme apart from others, which innovations are planned for the future, and who should apply.
HSE University-St Petersburg Students Made up a Portrait of a Luxury Brands Consumer for Cartier
For more than six months, HSE University-St Petersburg students have been studying the attitude of young people aged from 18 to 24 toward luxury brands. Guided by the lecturers of the Master's programme 'Arts and Culture Management', eight Master's students and three Bachelor's students conducted three large stages of research on the young audience: in-depth interview, survey and experiment. Olga Makarova is a lecturer at the School of Economics and Management, HSE University-St Petersburg. In the 90s, she was one of the lucky people who were good at Economics and foreign languages. Thanks to that, for a long time, she was working as a financial executive for such large companies as AT&T, Gillette CIS, Tele2, Pratt & Whitney.
