Academic Norms

HSE has its own Statement of Values. This is one of the most important Regulations to be acquainted with at the beginning of the study.

Besides the striving for truth, collaboration, academic freedom, self-discipline and accountability we also value honesty and openness. It means that all violations of the Academic Norms such as plagiarism, falsification, fabrication of research results, cheating and others are not tolerated at HSE.

Throughout your studies at HSE, you will have to pass a variety of assessment elements: from essay to term paper, from report to the oral examination. When going through the assessment procedures it is important to remember about the Academic Norms and not to violate them — in such a way you will prevent disciplinary measures against you and show respectful behaviour to other students.
