Employment history

Olga Malinova, Dr. of Philosophy, is the chief research fellow of the Institute of Scientific Information for Social Sciences, Russian Academy of Sciences; Professor of Political Science Department of the Moscow Institute of International Relations (University); Professor of the School of Political Science of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Higher School of Economics National Research University. Meeting with the Academic Director for applicants through the Russian government scholarships (Quotas) to the Doctoral School of Political Science

On February 14 at 3 p.m. there will be an online meeting with applicants to the  Doctoral School of Political Science (Application period: January 25 - February 29,  2024).

‘It’s a Very Small Area of Political Science, and Working to Redress That Is Very Satisfying’

On March 15, Judas Everett defended his doctoral dissertation ‘The Effect of the Patterns in the Dissolution of Communism on the Transition to New Systems in Eastern Europe’, which investigates the relationship between the demise of communist regimes in Central and Eastern Europe and the quality of democracy in the post-communist regime. The defence took place remotely. His academic supervisor was Professor Andrey Akhremenko of the HSE University School of Politics and Governance at the Faculty of Social Sciences. In his interview, Judas talks about the topic of his research and explains why political science is more important than ever.

English Graduate Chooses to Pursue Doctoral Studies in Political Science at HSE

Ever since he was a teenager, Judas Everett has been interested in politics. A new postgraduate student in HSE’s Doctoral School of Political Science, Judas says he owes a lot of his continued interest to the teachers he’s had over the years, the right encouragement and the right reading suggestions.

International Conference ‘State and Political Discourse in Russia’ Held in Venice

On June 17-18, Venice hosted the International Conference ‘State and Political Discourse in Russia’, organized by the Italian Foundation for Reset Dialogues on Civilizations (ResetDOC). The HSE was one of the co-organizers of the conference, together with London School of Economics and Political Science, Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies (Harvard University), and others.
