International forum innovators and creative thinkers 'Falling Walls Lab'

International forum for the next generation of outstanding innovators and creative thinkers 'Falling Walls Lab' starts application process for the scientific ideas contest.


The contest accepts Bachelor's and Master's students, PhD candidates, postdocs, young professionals or entrepreneurs and provides them with an opportunity to present his or her research project, business plan or social initiative – in just 3 minutes. Ideas from all fields are wanted!

The winner takes it all:

  • A trip to Berlin, Germany (travel and accommodation covered).

  • Participation in the Falling Walls Lab Finale in Berlin on 8 November 2019.

  • A ticket for the prestigious Falling Walls Conference, where leaders from science, industry, and policy-making meet and discuss which walls will fall next in science and society

  • Participation in a Springer Nature event on science publishing and a Science Excursion.

The Finale winner gets to speak once more on the grand stage of the Falling Walls Conference on 9 November 2019, receives a cash prize and the opportunity to win a six month Virtual Residency with Nature Careers of the global publisher Springer Nature.

The Falling Walls Lab in St Petersburg will take place on April 6, 2019 at 'Social Club', 40/11 Rubinsteina street. The forum starts 3:30 p.m.
