Anastasia Sosina talks about places for walking in the Moscow center.
Most of the buildings of the Higher School of Economics in Moscow are located in the city center. If you do not know where to spend your free time, you will find this information here.
The complex of buildings on Pokrovka
This building is perhaps the most beautiful and mesmerizing among all University buildings in Moscow and there is absolutely no desire to leave them, everyone wants to stay there as long as possible, but if the weather is fine, I advise you to take a walk to the Zaryadye park.
- The walk takes about 20 minutes
Zaryadye is a modern park for recreation, entertainment and knowledge, created by an international team of architects, engineers, landscape designers and other experts. Here nature and technology, entertainment and modernity combine and complement each other.
From the “floating” bridge, you get a breathtaking view of the Kremlin, Raushskaya and Moskvoretskaya embankments.
Also, in Zaryadye there are many exhibitions for every taste. If you want to relax after studying, enjoy a walk and stunning views that is the right place.
The complex of buildings on the Old Basmannaya
In this building are concentrated educational programs with a humanitarian direction. And also, according to students, the most delicious food in the new dining room on Old Basmannaya! But I would like to tell you about the Bauman Garden, which is within walking distance of the building.
- The walk takes 3 minutes.
Bauman Garden - the history of the garden begins at the end of the 18th century, when Prince M.P. Golitsyn gave Moscow part of his estate. The garden was open to the public. In the warm season, some of the best Moscow open-air music festivals, clothing markets, free classes in a foreign language and much more are held here. There are also many food outlets in the park: a large number of cafes allows you to refresh yourself in time and spend time with friends.
The complex of buildings on Myasnitskaya
This building is the main one, and when applicants want to submit their documents to the Higher School of Economics, they come here, I think that every student of the Moscow Building remembers this exciting day well!
If after a hard day you want to breathe fresh air, take a walk and sit on a bench with a beautiful view, then you need to go to Chistye Prudy Park!
- Walking takes 10 minutes.
Chistye Prudy Park include not only the pond itself, but also the park. There are monuments to Alexander Griboedov, decorated with the heroes of his famous novel "Woe from Wit." Next to the pond is tram route A, which carries its passengers through the picturesque historical places of the capital. In the warm season, there are many artists and street musicians on Chistye Prudy, often there are various exhibitions and shows. In winter, the pond turns into a spontaneous ice rink. At any time of the year, you can find here an activity that suits your interests.
I hope this article was useful and you will definitely visit these picturesque places, because they are very close to the university and the road will not take you much time! Enjoy the walk!
