More than 220 works (paintings, rare drawings, stage designs, photographs) are on display, along with key reconstructions, including research around the Monument to the Third International (Tatlin’s Tower) and the legendary Letatlin. The exhibition's architecture is structured around seven facets of Tatlin's personality and work.

Who was Vladimir Tatlin?

Vladimir Tatlin was an artist, architect, graphic artist, designer, theater artist and also one of the founders of constructivism. His design for the Monument to the Third International became a key symbol of the avant-garde and a hallmark of Constructivist aesthetics.

Parallel program

The exhibition is accompanied by a rich parallel program. The musical partners MusicAeterna, the educational project "Musical Dimension," and VTB Bank, along with conductor Teodor Currentzis, will present musical works that will allow you to dive deeper into the context of the exhibition. A series of lectures and public talks dedicated to various stages of Tatlin's career are also available. Don't miss the "Culture of Materials" master classes, named after the course of the same name that Tatlin taught at VKHUTEMAS.

I also recommend visiting the exhibition "The Path to the Avant-Garde: Artists' Dialogues in the Magazine 'A-Ya,'" which is also on display at the Zotov Center. The exhibition is about the magazine 'A-Ya,' which focused on unofficial Russian art (1979-1986).

"Exhibition about PNI." The exhibition will be held at the Museum of Moscow

What is it?

A large-scale artistic and documentary project about residential care facilities and the people who live there. The exhibition explores places we do not usually think of, places we sometimes even fear to contemplate. The project addresses the truly complex yet important question of visibility, dignity, and love, exploring our willingness to understand and accept differences.

Nyuta Federmesser, author of the "Region of Care" project, writes about the exhibition: "This is not about pain and humiliation. It is about how each of us, having met the world of people we have become accustomed to overlooking, becomes brighter, kinder, and begins to better distinguish good from evil, important from unimportant. They, the residents of PNI, are like astronauts or aliens, unburdened by our social anamnesis. They radiate light, and our task is to see this light. We are changing the system not only for them, but for ourselves too – so that one day we too will not find ourselves behind this gray fence, and so that our society will finally learn to value human uniqueness rather than fear it".

You will see over 350 works: photographs, videos, sculptures, and multimedia installations, and learn more about the lives of residents of the residential care facilities.

The exhibition is organized by the People's Front's social project "Region of Care," which has been working for several years to protect the rights of terminally ill people, people with mental disabilities, orphans, and children with no parental care.

The exhibition's curator will be Georgy Nikich, art historian and board member of the International Association of Art Critics.

Dates: December 9, 2025 – April 5, 2026.

Venue: Moscow Museum, Zubovsky Boulevard, 2, bldg. 3 (Park Kultury metro station).

What is PNI?

PNIs (psychoneurological boarding schools) are state institutions where people with any psychiatric diagnosis are admitted. Currently, over 160,000 people live there in Russia.

Conditions vary from one PNI to another, but people are often forced to live in groups of 8-10 persons per room, strictly adhere to the rules, and obey the staff unquestioningly (residents can be punished for disobedience). Therefore, unfortunately, being in a PNI only worsens the condition.

Why should you attend the exhibition?

- the exhibition raises an important topic that is often hushed up in society;

- a human-centric exhibition dedicated to mental health, inclusion, and social policy;

- the project will remind you what makes us human beings and that life and home are not a privilege, but necessity;

- a rich parallel program awaits you, allowing you to dive even deeper into the exhibition's theme: art mediation, social volunteering, lectures and discussions, as well as seminars with experts in a wide range of fields (lawyers, psychologists, social workers, and many others).
