First International Staff Week was hosted by HSE-Petersburg
On June 8, the Higher School of Economics in St. Petersburg began its First International Staff Week, a series of workshops for representatives of partner universities. The main goal of the event is sharing of best practices in terms of student mobility, services for international students and managing international partnerships.
The event began on Monday where the participants were able to learn more about HSE - St.Petersburg. The presentation about Internationalization of Higher Education in Russia was given by Prof.Christopher Gerry, Academic Director of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Head of International Steering Group. After a successful discussion, the participants went to new campus of HSE - St.Petersburg which received very high grade.
The Week was followed up with the Education Fair where HSE – St. Petersburg students were able to learn more about international study opportunities in Germany, Spain, Potrugal, Finland and Hungary. Throughout the week, participants are discussing relevant issues concerning international education with their peers from Russia and many other countries. A range of professional workshops provides numerous networking opportunities, and participants were hosting booths representing their universities.
