Conference for Law Undergraduates


      1. 2nd Year Students Session

Diversity of Modern Legal Practice

March 2020


Undergraduates (2 year) are invited to participate in the Сonference.

The Conference invites students to share their presentations (in a form of a 7-8 minutes talk or a poster) that cover but are not restricted by the following aspects of law in the Russian Federation:


  • cases representing modern legal practices 

  • new / amended laws, aspects of their implementation

  • underdeveloped areas of legislation  

  • new professions related to law and their status

  • new legal realia 

  • law in theoretical perspective


Students should demonstrate their cognitive and analytical abilities, as well as language and academic skills.


Participation in the conference is amounted to homereading submission and is awarded with a certificate of participation.

The jury will select the winner and two runners-up that will be awarded with a certificate of excellence. 



How to participate


Students are welcome to send their abstracts (120-150 words) to the conference official address: academic_presentations@mail.ru


You are encouraged to paste your abstract into the letter body rather than attach a file. An abstract should contain the name of the author, faculty and year of studies, presentation title and a short overview of the presentation content, underlining its main points (structure of the presentation) and emphasizing the research thesis statement (the main problem of the research).

6 February 2020: Deadline for abstract submission

13 February 2020: Notification of acceptance

Law Practice: History and Contemporaneity

May 2020


Undergraduates (1 year) are invited to participate in the Сonference. 


The Conference invites students to share their presentations (in a form of a 5-6 minutes talk or a poster) that present an analysis of a legal case from any period of Russian history. The analysis should involve legal and historical contexts and comment on the legislation of the time. 


Students should demonstrate their cognitive and analytical abilities, as well as language and academic skills.


Participation in the conference is amounted to homereading submission and is awarded with a certificate of participation.

The jury will select the winner and two runners-up that will be awarded with a certificate of excellence and band 10 for speaking in the 4th module.
