Vladimir Matveenko Scolarship

Vladimir Matveenko scholarship in economics for masters and postgraduate students of the St. Petersburg School of Economics and Management of the National Research University Higher School of Economics.

Note! By the decision of the Faculty Council in 2021 the scholarship is assigned only for graduate students of the faculty of the St. Petersburg School of Economics and Management.

Short Description

The scholarship is awarded to masters and postgraduate students conducting research in the field of economic growth, macroeconomics, labor economics, game theory, contract theory, network theory, and the dynamics of the Russian economy.

Monthly amount

30,000 rubles per month for masters and 50,000 rubles per month for postgraduate students.

Number of scholarships

2 scholarships are awarded annually - one for masters and one for postgraduate students.

Recipients

Masters and postgraduate students of the St. Petersburg School of Economics and Management of any year of study.

Selection criteria

The presence of scientific publications, preprints, high-level scientific papers with researches in the areas of economic growth, macroeconomics, labor economics, game theory, contract theory, network theory, and the dynamics of the Russian economy.

Payment period

The scholarship is paid to masters during the period from September 1st to June 30nd (or from October 1st to July 31st) and to postgraduate students from November 1st to August 31nd.

Application procedure

Important! By the decision of the Faculty Council in 2021 the scholarship is assigned only for graduate students of the SEM faculty.

The application must contain information confirming the applicant's compliance with the selection criteria established by section II of the Regulations.

Applications must be sent to the e-mail of SEM Manager Lev Alushkin – lalushkin@hse.ru until December 15, 2021 (inclusive).

Grounds for early scholarship termination

Expulsion from the university, transfer to study in another educational program, provision of academic leave, maternity leave or parental leave.
