People say that even four years of bachelor's studies are not enough to discover all the opportunities provided by HSE University-St Petersburg. It is truly impossible to get to know us thoroughly neither in two years nor in four but you can get acquainted with us and feel our atmosphere in one day.
That is why we will start the upcoming academic year loudly, cheerfully and unforgettably. Friday—September 13 (yes, we are also shocked that we have agreed to it but this is us); the space of our friends—'Sevkabel Port'—and the Gulf of Finland embankment, a trademark of St Petersburg, will help us.
In one day, we will tell you why HSE University-St Petersburg is great, show you the majority of student organisations, introduce you to the faculties and their heads, partners and campus friends. You will have a chance to form and start getting to know your own HSE University-St Petersburg.
No matter who you are a student or a parent, an applicant or a graduate, or just a guest of 'Sevkabel Port'. HSE SPB Day is the time and place where you will become a part of the HSE family, make new acquaintances and learn more about the HSE team for sure.

What awaits you
Extracurricular Mix
HSE University-St Petersburg is very different, so different that everyone will find something to their liking. At HSE SPB Day, you will get to know the major part of all extracurricular organisations on the campus: from a cheerleading team, basketball league and drama clubs to the Career Centre and sailing club. After trying everything or almost everything, you will create your own kaleidoscope of extracurricular activities. We are sure that it will be creative and bright!
Lecture Hall
Here, you can discover new facets of research at HSE University-St Petersburg: learn more about the campus buildings via a self-published zine and the history of its appearance; career trajectories of the modern youth, business and successful experience of graduates.
Official Part
We can't do without it! In 2024, HSE University-St Petersburg welcomes more than 2000 first-year Bachelor's and Master's students. You can become a true student of the campus only during the Official part. Let's open the mystery a little: there will be some official speeches, an initiation ceremony for first-year students and a performance by curators—and they know how to party like nobody else!
Keepsakes
Without them, we are not us! You can get HSE merchandise for completing a quest. Your task is to find new combinations of extracurricular life for you and visit as many stations as possible, and ours is to present a gift based on the results of your exploration of the activities. The more stations you visit, the more valuable and awesome gifts you will get.
Vivid Emotions
There will be photo, play and lounge zones waiting for you. From HSE SPB Day, you will take not only gifts but also bright photos, unforgettable memories and new acquaintances.
Music at sunset
The festival of HSE University-St Petersburg will finish with music and dances. The stage will face the Gulf of Finland and (we hope) the setting sun. And you'll find out very soon who's going to be playing the DJ console!

Guests gathering
The main activities will start at 16:30 but you can arrive at 'Sevkabel Port' a little earlier to catch all the beauty of the space, have a look around and think through the trajectory of your further way.
Outdoor area
More than 20 student teams have prepared something very special for you. In the zone of student organisations, you can try yourself in various activities: from recording your own track and a photo with Tyler Durden to a dance flash mob and career fortunetelling. Try to explore as many stations as possible to find a perfect combination for your student life!
Volt
Here is the zone of the Lecture Hall with public talks by students, invited partners and professors of HSE University-St Petersburg. The schedule of lectures will be published very soon. In this zone, you will also find our friends from 'Sloy': they will make you aromatic coffee and treat you to pastries. It is a truly legendary place valued by all HSE students.
Stage
It is the place where the ceremonial part of the event will start: welcome speeches of the campus director and partners, wishes from the deans and, of course, an initiation ceremony for the first-year students. In addition—outstanding performances by students and curators.
Outdoor area
You can't miss it! For those who would like to create the most difficult mix of extracurricular activities and try everything—everything at all—the zone of student organisations will work during the official part as well.
Stage
While the sun is setting, the music life will start. The mixture of various styles and genres will excite and whirl everyone in dance.
