This research aims to understand how students get their start in science, what social, institutional, and cultural conditions make it possible, and what forms of academic participation are becoming significant for young people today. The key research questions of the project are ‘how is student science organised?’ and ‘how is the prestige of scientific and research activities among young people constructed and strengthened?’
