Workshop "Partnerships for Social Impact: The Experience of the BRICS Countries and Russia" Presented at the "More Than Business" Forum

The Laboratory for Reputation Management in Education took part in the More Than Business Forum, one of the leading professional platforms dedicated to social entrepreneurship. The laboratory's main contribution to the forum was the workshop "Partnerships for Social Impact: The Experience of the BRICS Countries and Russia," delivered by the Head of the Laboratory, Magdalena Gaete. Alexandra Temnova also presented the laboratory's recent monograph and participated in the forum's business programme.

On 2 July, the More Than Business Forum 2026 was held for the third time, bringing together representatives of businesses, development institutions, regional teams, and social entrepreneurs to discuss current challenges facing the sector and explore opportunities for long-term collaboration.

Representing the laboratory as a speaker, Magdalena Gaete delivered the workshop "Partnerships for Social Impact: The Experience of the BRICS Countries and Russia." During the session, she presented approaches to strengthening cross-sector collaboration and developing sustainable models for achieving social impact.

Particular attention was given to the ways in which governments, large businesses, social entrepreneurs, universities, and non-profit organizations can work together to address complex social challenges. Drawing on examples from the BRICS countries and Russia, the workshop explored a range of partnership models, including public procurement of social services, corporate social responsibility programmes, impact investing, outcomes-based financing, and independent social impact assessment mechanisms.

The central message of the workshop was that social initiatives become sustainable systemic solutions only when responsibilities, resources, and roles are shared among partners and when outcomes are evaluated based on the real changes they bring to people's lives.

The forum was also attended by Alexandra Temnova who participated in the business programme, thematic sessions, and the social entrepreneurs' marketplace. The exhibition featured projects spanning education, social services, environmental initiatives, and creative industries, all united by a shared commitment to generating positive social impact.

As part of the event, Alexandra Temnova also presented the laboratory's monograph "Bridging Horizons: Social Entrepreneurship in Malaysia and Russia". The publication attracted considerable interest and became the subject of professional discussions among forum participants.

This is a forum of remarkable scale, primarily because it brings together an exceptional concentration of professionals and creative individuals who are working not only for economic growth but also for social impact. It creates a space where representatives of business, development institutions, and civic initiatives come together to develop a common language for discussing the future and identifying new opportunities for the growth of social projects," - Alexandra Temnova commented.

The laboratory's participation in the forum provided an opportunity to showcase its research on social entrepreneurship, discuss international and Russian approaches to cross-sector partnerships, strengthen professional networks, and identify new prospects for cooperation with businesses, development institutions, and socially oriented organizations.
