May expert meeting of the social entrepreneurship consortium

At a regular expert meeting of the consortium of mirror laboratories on social entrepreneurship, participants discussed the preparation of a scientific monograph on social entrepreneurship, the opening of a laboratory representative office in Brazil, and the upcoming conference "Human-Centered University."

On May 5, the latest expert meeting of the Social Entrepreneurship Consortium took place, where partner universities discussed ongoing joint projects and key development areas.
One of the central topics was the preparation of a collective monograph on social entrepreneurship. Specifically, a new joint publication, developed with the participation of an international team of researchers, is expected to be released: the work is already in the final stages and has been submitted for signature.

Special attention was paid to expanding the laboratory's international presence. Participants discussed the opening of a representative office of the HSE-St. Petersburg Mirror Laboratory for Social Entrepreneurship and the Social Mission of Universities at the University of Campinas (Limeira, Brazil). The new venue is envisaged as a space for joint research, the development of educational initiatives, and practice-oriented solutions in the field of social innovation.

The meeting also discussed preparations for the international conference "Human-Centered University: Shaping the Fifth-Generation University through Social Mission, Entrepreneurship, and the Solidarity Economy," which will be held on May 19, 2026, in St. Petersburg as part of HSE's International Partnership Week.

Consortium members are expected to actively participate in the conference. The program covers key issues in university transformation in the context of the concepts of Society 5.0 and Industry 5.0. Participants will discuss institutional changes, funding mechanisms for projects with social impact, and approaches to university engagement with communities.
