The laboratory took part in the IV National Award "Headliners of ESG Principles"
Laboratory analyst Ilya Chesnokov-Posadsky participated in the 4th National "ESG Principles Headliners" awards ceremony, held at the Mikhailovskaya Dacha campus of the Graduate School of Management at St. Petersburg State University. The awards were organized by ESG Media.
In 2026, the award received over 400 applications from 57 regions of Russia, as well as from Kazakhstan and Belarus. Winners were selected in 17 categories, ranging from large businesses and SMEs to social and educational projects. The business program on February 26th focused on ESG communications, the digital transformation of sustainable development, eco-investments, and the implementation of ESG approaches in business education. Analyst Ilya Chesnokov-Posadsky attended the event on behalf of the laboratory.
The plenary session opened with a discussion on professional communication of sustainable practices and partnerships between large businesses and social enterprises. Speakers included representatives from GSOM SPbU, ESG Media, and the Our Future Foundation. Thematic roundtables discussed eco-investing tools, digital solutions for ESG analytics, and the transformation of sustainable development from a cost center to a strategic management asset. Special attention was paid to distinguishing between ESG and ESG approaches and the impact of new regulatory initiatives on corporate reputation.
On February 27, as part of Youth Day, a panel discussion entitled "Sustainable Development in the World of Sports" was held with Vyacheslav Fetisov, along with a series of TED talks and a pitch session for student ESG projects.
For the lab, the event was practical in nature: current trends in ESG communications, digital trust tools, and institutional changes in the sustainable development agenda were documented. The insights and expert assessments gained will be used in future analytical and educational projects by the lab.
