Convergence: SatLab Social Entrepreneurship Consortium Expert Meeting

Preparations of an international conference, the launch of new comparative studies in social entrepreneurship in more than 10 rapidly developing countries, and the formation of the Academic Council for the new Master's program "Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation" at HSE St. Petersburg were key topics at the consortium's expert meeting.

On February 24, 2026, the first online meeting of the "Convergence: SatLab Social Entrepreneurship Consortium Expert Meetings" series took place. Representatives of partner universities discussed the results of their work in recent months, presented ongoing research projects, and outlined plans for the near future.

Participants included:

  • ACT Lab, Azman Hashim International Business School, UTM, Malaysia
  • Reputation Management in Education Lab, HSE University, St. Petersburg, Russia
  • Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS), Indonesia
  • São Paulo State University (UNESP), Brazil
  • La Sabana University, Colombia
Such meetings are planned to be held regularly to maintain communication between universities, exchange knowledge and best practices, and coordinate joint research and educational projects. Such meetings strengthen international cooperation and develop innovation in all consortium member countries.

As a reminder, the Consortium of Sattellite Labs for Social Entrepreneurship is an international platform uniting seven universities from six countries: Russia, Malaysia, Mexico, Indonesia, Brazil, and Colombia. It serves as a coordination platform for joint research, knowledge exchange, and the development of practice-oriented solutions in the field of social entrepreneurship and sustainable development. The consortium emerged as an extension of the HSE SPB – UTM Malaysia Satellite Lab and has operated as a consortium since May 2025.
